About the role

Community Educators are volunteer public speakers who provide Alzheimer's Association education programs to community audiences on a variety of care and support topics.

Responsibilities

  • Provide education programs on Alzheimer's disease and related dementias to community groups
  • Present at various venues including libraries, senior centers, and community events
  • Adapt presentations to meet the needs of diverse audiences
  • Engage with participants through interactive sessions and discussions

Requirements

  • Must be 21 years or older
  • Ability to travel to various locations within Yuba/Sutter/Colusa Counties
  • Comfortable speaking in front of groups
  • Willingness to attend training provided by the Alzheimer's Association

Qualifications
