Community Programs Associate
SUMMARY
The Community Programs Associate position provides support to the Manager of the Community Programs and Events Department, assisting with the coordination and facilitation of various conferences, workshops, trainings, and online events for Company Headquarters. This role also involves coordinating direct mail plans and list selections to promote other sub-departments within the Events department. Responsibilities include planning and organizing logistics for both in-person and virtual events, such as catering, lodging, transportation arrangements, and audio/visual equipment. The position also involves collaborating with other departments such as Field Conferences/Retreats, Events Programming and Production, Bookstore, and Tours to ensure successful coordination of events.
REQUIREMENTS
- Collaborate with hotels, caterers, audio-visual (AV) providers, insurance companies, and materials suppliers.
- Utilize platforms like Eventbrite, Aptify, and Zoom to manage registrations and communications for both in-person and virtual events.
- Implement pre- and post-event surveys to evaluate attendee satisfaction and improve future programming.
- Collaborate with a team in a high-pressure situation, and be ready to pivot at a moment's notice.
- Help plan and coordinate over 50 annual events, including conferences, workshops, webinars, and community outreach programs
- Skills needed include administration (Word, Excel, Microsoft 365), attention to detail, recent events planning background.
- Evening and weekend availability required.

Salary Rate: $21 per hour
