About the role
This position focuses on securing grants, developing event sponsorships, and building the external partnerships that allow Cedar City to continue growing its events programming and its measurable economic impact for the community.Responsibilities
- Secure grants to support community events and initiatives
- Develop event sponsorships to enhance community engagement
- Build and maintain relationships with local businesses and organizations
- Collaborate with other departments to align events with community goals
Requirements
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Experience in grant writing and event sponsorship development
- Passion for civic life and community events
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (economics, public administration, communications, etc.) preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in community development or event management
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
