Hebron Community Center (HCC) is a faith-based nonprofit organization serving Penn Hills and surrounding communities. We provide a welcoming place where neighbors can connect, grow, access resources, and support one another through recreation, community meals, youth and family activities, educational opportunities, special events, and partnerships with local organizations. About the role

Hebron Community Center is seeking a friendly, dependable, and mission-minded individual to help create a welcoming environment where every person who walks through our doors feels known, valued, and connected. The Community Engagement Coordinator serves as the welcoming face of HCC during programming by greeting participants, managing check-in, building relationships, supporting volunteers, and helping foster a safe, encouraging, Christ-centered community.

Responsibilities

  • Welcome participants and help create a culture of belonging.
  • Learn names and build relationships with participants.
  • Manage digital attendance and collect program payments.
  • Recruit, encourage, and support volunteers.
  • Uphold HCC policies and promote a positive, respectful environment.
  • Document attendance, incidents, and participant feedback.
  • Meet regularly with the Executive Director to share observations and ideas for strengthening HCC's impact.
  • Support and grow the image of the organization

Qualifications

  • Loves connecting with people of all ages and backgrounds.
  • Demonstrates integrity, professionalism, and initiative.
  • Is organized and comfortable learning new technology.
  • Can lead volunteers with encouragement and confidence.
  • Is willing to uphold HCC's mission and values (faith based)
  • Employment is contingent upon obtaining Pennsylvania State Police, Child Abuse, and FBI clearances.
  • ServSafe Manager Certification (or willingness to obtain) is required.

Pay

$18–$22/hour (based on experience and performance)

Schedule

Approximately 12–15 hours/week, primarily evenings
