About the Role

The Community Liaison serves as the liaison between Fairfax Behavioral Health, the community, and referring agencies. This role is responsible for creating demand for the facility’s services through ethical marketing principles and sales methods, presenting a positive and professional public image, and implementing the facility’s strategic sales plan. The Community Liaison collaborates with the Director of Business Development and the Business Development Team to enhance the facility’s brand, manage assigned territories and accounts, and achieve business development goals.

Hours are based on departmental and facility needs and may include day, evening, and weekend hours.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary liaison between the facility, community, and referring agencies.
  • Create demand for the facility’s services using ethical marketing principles and sales methods.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Business Development and Business Development Team to present a positive and professional public image of the facility.
  • Implement the facility’s strategic sales plan and enhance its brand and image.
  • Manage assigned territory and accounts to achieve departmental and facility business development goals.
  • Demonstrate tact, resourcefulness, patience, and dedication in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or a related field required. Experience may be evaluated on a case-by-case basis in lieu of a degree.
  • Prior marketing and/or sales experience within a behavioral healthcare setting preferred.
  • Three years minimum documented experience in referral development, account management, sales growth, and physician relationships preferred.
  • Must possess a valid Driver’s License.
  • Knowledge of the Fairfax Behavioral Health marketplace, insurance plans, target markets, and referral sources is preferred.
  • Understanding of psychiatric and chemical dependency treatment, as well as age-specific programming.

Skills

  • Demonstrated business development concepts and sales abilities.
  • Competency in computer usage and excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Knowledge and application of marketing and sales principles.
  • Creativity, flexibility, and skills in data collection, analysis, and interpretation.
  • Adherence to deadlines and strong customer service skills.
  • Willingness to travel, including overnight travel as required.
