About the role
We are looking for an energetic and motivated Community Liaison to serve the Central Jersey Region as a contact with new and existing referral sources, while continually identifying and cultivating new referral sources that have the potential to direct prospective clients to Hampton Behavioral Health Center.
Regions responsible for: Middlesex County, Monmouth County, Mercer County, Somerset County, and Hunterdon County.
Responsibilities
- In conjunction with the other Liaisons, assists with the development and refinement of marketing materials, website content, marketing collateral, competitive analyses, standard presentations, and departmental processes, reporting, and performance metrics.
- Along with the team, develops and maintains strong and productive referral relationships, ensuring the organization is understood by the referral sources and educates them on the Hospital programs.
- Assists the Director with market research activities to keep abreast of changing patient demographics and evaluate marketing and communication activities to referral sources and the community.
- Works as a team to develop and maintain strong business and referral relationships with physicians, discharge planners, insurance representatives, and the medical community.
- May need to be flexible regarding schedules for evening and weekend events to maintain relationships with referral sources.
- Facilitates mobile level of care assessments for patients in other treatment settings for treatment options at Hampton Behavioral Health Center, including conducting level of care assessments on patients seeking evaluation for psychiatric treatment (with possible co-occurring substance abuse).
- Provides crisis and supportive contact with patients and families; responsible for accurate and timely documentation; coordinates with insurance companies for authorizations of recommended treatment.
- Maintains facility’s presence in the community by regular attendance at community meetings such as SRC, PAC, and mental health boards, along with other community groups as needed.
- Maintains ongoing relationships by visiting each screening center on a consistent basis as designated by the Director of Community Resources.
- Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, service excellence skills, and be able to work with the team consistently while committed to maintaining strong referral relationships.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, clinically related field, or humanities (or licensed as RN).
- Minimum of three years of experience in a clinical and/or marketing position, preferably in a healthcare setting.
- Familiarity with the healthcare environment and previous direct sales in marketing psychiatric services preferred.
- Familiarity with the Central Jersey healthcare environment.
- Military background preferred.
- Familiarity with personal computers.
- Extensive travel involved within the assigned Central & Northern Jersey Region.

Pay
USD $65,000.00 – $80,000.00 per year.
