About the role

We are seeking an energetic and motivated Community Liaison to serve the Central Jersey Region, acting as a contact with new and existing referral sources while identifying and cultivating new opportunities to direct prospective clients to Hampton Behavioral Health Center. Regions covered include Middlesex County, Monmouth County, Mercer County, Somerset County, and Hunterdon County.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the development and refinement of marketing materials, website content, marketing collateral, competitive analyses, standard presentations, and departmental processes, reporting, and performance metrics.
• Develop and maintain strong, productive referral relationships, ensuring referral sources understand the organization and educating them on hospital programs.
• Conduct market research to stay informed about changing patient demographics and evaluate marketing and communication activities.
• Collaborate with the team to build and sustain business and referral relationships with physicians, discharge planners, insurance representatives, and the medical community.
• Attend evening and weekend events as needed to maintain relationships with referral sources.
• Facilitate mobile level-of-care assessments for patients in other treatment settings, including leading assessments for psychiatric treatment (with possible co-occurring substance abuse).
• Provide crisis and supportive contact with patients and families, ensuring accurate and timely documentation.
• Coordinate with insurance companies for treatment authorizations.
• Maintain the facility’s presence in the community by attending meetings such as SRC, PAC, mental health boards, and other community groups.
• Visit screening centers consistently to maintain ongoing relationships, as designated by the Director of Community Resources.
• Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills, service excellence, teamwork, and a commitment to maintaining strong referral relationships.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, a clinically related field, humanities, or licensure as an RN.
• Minimum of three years of experience in a clinical and/or marketing position, preferably in a healthcare setting.
• Familiarity with the Central Jersey healthcare environment.
• Previous direct sales experience in marketing psychiatric services preferred.
• Proficiency with personal computers.
• Military background preferred.
• Extensive travel within the assigned Central & Northern Jersey Region.
