About the Role
We are seeking an energetic and motivated Community Liaison to serve the Northern Jersey Region as a contact with new and existing referral sources, while continually identifying and cultivating new referral sources that can direct prospective clients to Hampton Behavioral Health Center.
Regions responsible for: Bergen County, Essex County, Hudson County, Passaic County, Sussex County, and Warren County.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the development and refinement of marketing materials, website content, marketing collateral, competitive analyses, standard presentations, and departmental processes, reporting, and performance metrics.
- Develop and maintain strong and productive referral relationships, ensuring the organization is well-understood by referral sources and educating them on hospital programs.
- Conduct market research activities to stay abreast of changing patient demographics and evaluate marketing and communication activities.
- Work as a team to develop and maintain strong business and referral relationships with physicians, discharge planners, insurance representatives, and the medical community.
- Be flexible with schedules for evening and weekend events to maintain relationships with referral sources.
- Facilitate mobile level of care assessments for patients in other treatment settings, conducting assessments for psychiatric treatment (with possible co-occurring substance abuse).
- Provide crisis and supportive contact with patients and families; ensure accurate and timely documentation.
- Coordinate with insurance companies for authorizations of recommended treatment.
- Maintain the facility’s presence in the community by attending community meetings such as SRC, PAC, and mental health boards, along with other community groups as needed.
- Maintain ongoing relationships by visiting each screening center on a consistent basis as designated by the Director of Community Resources.
- Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, service excellence skills, and the ability to work consistently with the team.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, a clinically related field, humanities, or licensure as an RN.
- Minimum of three years of experience in a clinical and/or marketing position, preferably in a healthcare setting.
- Familiarity with the healthcare environment and previous direct sales experience in marketing psychiatric services preferred.
- Familiarity with the Central and Northern New Jersey healthcare environment.
- Military background preferred.
- Proficiency with personal computers.
- Extensive travel within the assigned Central & Northern Jersey Region.
