About the role
The Community and Corporate Relationships Manager (CCRM) reports to the Chief Operating Officer and Chief Executive Officer. They oversee the agency’s volunteer program, plan and execute fundraising events, and build relationships with corporate partners.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and grow the agency’s volunteer programming
- Provide supervision and assignments to the Volunteer Relationship Coordinator
- Create meaningful opportunities for supporters to impact the lives of residents
- Partner with management to create volunteer opportunities
- Oversee the planning and execution of all agency events
- Oversee community and corporate relationship building opportunities
- Raise funds and brand awareness as well as in-kind partnerships
- Seek out and initiate contact with new/prospective community and corporate partners
- Host lunch and learn presentations and relationship building activities
- Work in concert with Communications and Individual Giving colleagues to promote community and corporate events
- Conduct agency-wide tours with prospective supporters and volunteers
- Manage event timelines and ensure deadlines are met
- Solicit donations for event revenue including direct sponsorships, auction items, and ticket sales
- Execute event program including taking the lead in “Run of Show”
- Work with auxiliary groups on third-party events to support the agency
- Carry a portfolio of top corporate partners for sponsorship and solicitation of both in-kind and financial support
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED or Equivalent
- Valid CA Driver’s license, reliable transportation, auto insurance, and an acceptable driving record
- Two (2) years of development experience with an emphasis on fundraising events and/or volunteer program management
- A passion for connecting philanthropists with high impact opportunities to help the most vulnerable in their communities
- Detail oriented with strong time management, organizational, written, verbal, interpersonal, and computer skills
- Computer literate; able to effectively use computerized database, with demonstrable skills in Microsoft Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel programs
- Proficient in the use of the Internet and social media tools
- Able to work some evenings and weekends for special events and meetings as requested
- Able to travel between Westside and downtown Los Angeles as work requires
- Bachelor's Degree preferred
- Familiarity with Raiser’s Edge, Volgistics, and/or other donor management system preferred
