Community Control Officer – Highland County Probation Department (Hillsboro, Ohio)

About the role

This officer will be responsible for the supervision of felony offenders sentenced through the Highland County Common Pleas court.

Responsibilities

• Supervise felony offenders sentenced through the Highland County Common Pleas court
• Ensure compliance with court orders and probation conditions
• Conduct regular check-ins with offenders to monitor progress and address issues
• Provide support and guidance to offenders to help them reintegrate into society
• Participate in community meetings and events related to probation services

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in criminal justice, social work, or a related field
• Valid driver’s license
• At least two years of relevant experience in law enforcement or corrections
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening

Qualifications

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Knowledge of Ohio laws and regulations related to probation and parole
