About the role
The Community Assistant at The Marshall (Student Living) is responsible for performing administrative tasks, assisting with sales and leasing activities, and supporting resident functions. This part-time position requires flexibility in scheduling and physical demands.
Responsibilities
- Administers administrative tasks such as copying documents, filing resident files, preparing notices, handling resident calls, and organizing rent payments and other collateral materials.
- Aids in sales and leasing activities by conducting virtual tours, responding to online inquiries, greeting and qualifying prospects, conducting property tours, and showing apartments.
- Aids in the lease preparation process by generating all required lease paperwork and organizing resident lease files.
- Aids in the move-in and move-out processes for residents, ensuring that these events are handled promptly.
- Answers incoming calls and sets appointments for prospects to tour the property.
- Engages in on-campus marketing outreach to enhance community awareness and attract qualified traffic.
- Aids in resident functions such as parties, birthday cards, unit visits, and other programs to improve resident satisfaction.
- Schedules and conducts resident visits as directed and distributes notices like flyers, newsletters, resident surveys, and late notices.
- Acts as an after-hours liaison between residents and property management, responding to emergencies within a specified timeframe.
- Responds quickly and courteously to resident concerns and questions, taking prompt action to solve problems or document and convey resident requests.
Requirements
Physical demands include standing, walking, sitting for extended periods, bending, stooping, climbing ladders, reaching, carrying objects weighing up to 25 pounds independently and 50 pounds with assistance. Travel may be required for support at other properties.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in customer service or administrative support preferred.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Skills
- Excellent communication skills.
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
- Knowledge of leasing and property management procedures.
