Communications Project Management BYU-Pathway Worldwide (part-time, student employee)
Job Description
This position is centered on helping to improve the flow of projects that go through the Communication team at BYU-Pathway Worldwide and is expected to keep up with a professional environment and quick pace. Being teachable, perceptive, and proficient at learning is required to effectively manage the competing demands and priorities associated with this position.
Responsibilities
- Work with a team to complete projects and tasks on schedule.
- Present proposals, create tasks, determine deadlines, and assign projects.
- Aid with event coordination and execution.
- Order, track, and organize promotional material inventory.
- Complete special projects.
- Work directly with the Project Management Manager and others as needed.
Qualifications
- To qualify for student employment, you must be enrolled as a degree/certificate-seeking matriculated student at a CES educational institution (BYU, BYU-Idaho including online, BYU-Hawaii, Ensign College including online) OR taking PathwayConnect for the first time.
- Must reside within the state of Utah.
- Event coordination experience is a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
- Highly professional, with mature judgment and demeanor.
- Exceptional organizational, writing, and grammar skills.
- Highly proficient in written and verbal communication.
- Willingness to learn and share knowledge.
- Flexible and adaptable to change.
- Sound judgment in decision making.
- Highly detail-oriented and mindful of others’ needs.
- Excellent time management and proactive.
- Strong ability to prioritize competing tasks, demands, and responsibilities.
- Ability to provide high-quality work under pressure and deadlines.
- Responsible, reliable, and accountable.
- Willing to learn project management software.
