Commissary Worker - USG - USCS - KENTUCKY

About the role

As a Commissary Worker, you will receive and process incoming stock and products, prepare and complete orders for delivery to inmates, and perform inventory and quality control. Essential functions and responsibilities may vary by location based on client requirements and business needs.

Responsibilities

• Transfer products and/or merchandise from the warehouse.
• Receive products and merchandise, check for quality and damage, and ensure accurate storage.
• Operate equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks.
• Perform physical inventory as needed.
• Process requests for supplies, prepare merchandise for delivery, and package items according to established procedures.

Job duties may change or new ones may be assigned without formal notice to meet business commitments.

Requirements

• Previous warehouse experience preferred.
• Ability to follow basic safety procedures and precautions due to physical risks.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Basic math and counting skills.
• Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.

Skills

• Lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended walking and standing.
• Wearing uniforms and/or using Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
