The Commissary Supervisor - Beverage leads the day-to-day execution of alcohol beverage warehouse and distribution operations within a fast-paced, hospitality-driven environment. This role ensures the seamless flow of product from receiving through distribution, supporting concessions, bars, and premium experiences across all events. As a hands-on leader, this position drives operational consistency, maintains accurate inventory, and upholds applicable alcohol laws and policies - ensuring every area is equipped to deliver high-quality customer experiences.
Responsibilities
- Consolidate concession, premium and catering needs to create building-wide alcohol orders
- Responsible for all beer, wine, and liquor orders for the arena
- Work with the Commissary Supervisor-Receiving to ensure all alcohol orders were correctly delivered, including checking all liquor bottles for tax stamps
- Communicate any shortages or damaged products to Manager of Supply Chain
- Oversee the delivery and transfer of liquor and wine to bars throughout the building
- Coordinate the stocking of liquor carts in concessions areas ensuring proper amounts of product for each event
- Lead, schedule, and develop part-time event beverage commissary employees
- Train staff on delivery, storage, inventory control, and Pour system
- Ensure adherence to all ABC & ALE alcohol regulations and company standards
- Maintain audit readiness and resolve compliance gaps quickly
- Promote a safe, accountable, and high-performing work environment
- Ensure invoices for liquor & wine are coded and turned into Manager of Supply Chain
- Run audits of liquor usage for bars using the Pour System
- Provide usage reports to management highlighting inventory variances
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience with alcohol beverage purchase, preferably in hospitality, sports, or large-scale venues
- Proven leadership experience managing hourly teams in a high-volume environment
- Strong knowledge of inventory control systems, receiving processes, and distribution logistics
- Working knowledge of applicable ABC & ALE alcohol laws and compliance requirements
- Ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays based on event needs
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate across departments
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time (8+ hours)
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs regularly, and occasionally more with assistance
- Frequent bending, stooping, reaching, and climbing ladders or stairs
- Ability to work in varying environments, including refrigerated and freezer spaces
- Comfortable working in fast-paced, high-volume, event-driven settings
- Must have or be able to obtain Responsible Server Certificate for serving alcohol
- Must pass a criminal background check
