About the role
This is a virtual role focused on commercializing Smart Services offerings and developing a strong sales pipeline to launch and grow new offerings through North America sales channels. The Commercialization Leader – Smart Services plays a critical role in sales enablement, partnering with product management and the Sales Center of Excellence (COE). You will own the rollout and continuous improvement of Smart Services sales enablement, ensuring field personnel—including General Management, Sales Leadership, Operations Leadership, and Technicians—have the training and support needed to effectively sell and execute offerings profitably.
As the main point of contact for the field, you’ll conduct office visits, training, coaching, and ongoing communication to drive consistency and growth across regions. You will lead the development of training collateral and collaborate with product management and marketing teams to shape sales strategy. The role emphasizes training sales and operations personnel, driving best practices, gathering field feedback to improve Smart Service products, and accelerating regional maturity in Smart Services using digitally enabled tools.
Responsibilities
- Commercialize new and existing Smart Services offerings for North America sales channels.
- Provide customer support for sales and fulfillment channels within the Smart Services portfolio (e.g., leadership presentations, strategic sales skills, product and services demonstrations, operations training).
- Apply LEAN principles with regular gap analysis and new solution ideas to continuously improve standard work and best practices addressing field and customer challenges.
- Develop and facilitate virtual and in-person field office training initiatives and launch new development demonstrations of offerings in partnership with the Product Management Team.
- Provide Product Management with voice-of-customer and Trane associate feedback regarding required functionality and offering configuration.
- Support the Sales COE by contributing to strategy, escalating needs to regional leadership, and providing content for monthly communications.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
- 5+ years of combined experience in customer success roles required.
- Experience managing and leading teams, directly and indirectly, is preferred.
- HVAC experience, knowledge of building systems operation, and extensive knowledge of field, service, and product preferred.
- Good knowledge of LEAN practices is preferred.
- Ability to effectively communicate both written and orally required.
- Ability to travel independently up to 40% of the time required.

Pay
Annual Base Salary Range: $123,721.66 – $173,004.99. Compensation is salary-based and incentive-eligible, though not commission-based. The actual compensation will depend on factors such as seniority, merit, geographic location, education, experience, travel requirements, and union designation.
