Responsibilities
- Oversee all stages of project life cycle including the management of materials, costs, quality, and safety measures.
- Cook up and supervise all construction activities, ensuring all phases of work are completed efficiently.
- Manage subcontractors, ensuring their work aligns with the project plan and quality standards.
- Develop and maintain a construction schedule, ensuring project milestones are met.
- Conduct regular site inspections to verify that the work is being carried out according to the project specifications, and to ensure adherence to safety and quality standards.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, architects, and other construction specialists, providing insightful feedback and recommendations.
- Resolve any issues or delays that may affect the timeline, budget, or quality of the project.
- Ensure all legal requirements, building and safety codes, safety inspections, city guidelines, and local construction regulations are met.
- Maintain a clean and safe work site by implementing good housekeeping regulations and safety rules.
Qualifications
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a supervisory role within the commercial construction industry.
- Proven track record in managing large scale commercial construction projects from start to finish.
- Extensive knowledge of construction procedures, equipment, OSHA safety protocols, and regulations.
- Proficiency in project management and construction management software.
- Excellent ability to read and understand blueprints, schematics, and construction documents.
- Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage and motivate a diverse team.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and strong decision-making skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with a range of stakeholders.
- A degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field is preferred.
