Construction Superintendent

Responsibilities

• Determine field personnel needs and assign work based on the project.
• Serve as a vital team member working closely with the Project Manager and the entire Project Team resulting in completion of the project on time, under budget, and with quality that exceeds expectations.
• Supervise, coordinate, and schedule activities of field personnel and subcontractors.
• Plan and coordinate all phases of the project with Project and Operations Managers.
• Inspect, approve, and report all labor time.
• Maintain jobsite safety and take appropriate action to address and correct safety deficiencies.
• Conduct weekly "Toolbox Talks" and maintain all associated reports.
• Investigate and report any accident or incident to Risk Management, Corporate Safety Director, and Project Manager.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations including safety, health, and welfare.
• Train field personnel in construction methods, operation of equipment, safety procedures and company policies.
• Create and accurately maintain cost/labor reports, maintain field P.O.'s and rental logs.
• Ensure all equipment, vehicles, and machinery are properly maintained. Arrange for repairs/replacements, as necessary.
• Routinely inspect the construction site and work progress to maintain compliance with contract specifications along with company quality and safety standards.

Requirements

• 10 years of field construction experience.
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in superintendent role.
• Knowledgeable of Construction methods.
• Osha 30 certification preferred.
