Responsibilities
Braisfield & Gorrie is seeking a Superintendent in Greenville. An ideal candidate will have commercial construction experience and be open to travel for projects. Safety is paramount, and the candidate must enforce compliance with company and jobsite safety plans and regulations. They will partner with estimating, division management, and project management to supervise, direct, and coordinate construction projects. This includes liaising with owners, designers, and subcontractors to ensure efficient and orderly performance.
- Develops and implements detailed schedules and production plans with budget and safety goals in mind.
- Prepares or oversees submission of payroll to the Payroll Department and ensures compliance with HR and Payroll policies and procedures.
- Resolves complaints and grievances within the workforce through discussions with supervisory personnel and employees.
- Improves construction methods and resolves issues by working with supervisory personnel, employees, engineers, architects, subcontractors, inspectors, and suppliers of tools and materials.
- Safeguards construction schedules by determining appropriate staffing levels and material/tool procurement.
- Maintains compliance with subcontract terms by overseeing and coordinating subcontractors.

- Qualifications & Experience: 5+ years of experience in commercial construction, experience as lead superintendent on at least one project, experience on projects up to $80M preferred, strong interpersonal and communication skills, valid driver's license
Physical Requirements
- Able to work significant portions of the day outside on construction sites.
- Able to stand for long periods and work at heights.
- Able to work in all types of weather (including exposure to extremes of hot and cold) and in all kinds of work environments.
- Able to lift/move up to 70 pounds.
- Able to stand, crawl, climb ladders & stairs, balance, stoop and kneel (physical activities associated with construction sites).
- Able to withstand for long periods of time noise, fumes, airborne particles, etc. associated with construction sites.
- Able to use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls.
