Position Summary

The Commercial Strategy Manager, North America is responsible for leading the planning, coordination, and execution of strategic initiatives that drive growth, operational excellence, and business transformation across Ambu's U.S. and Canadian commercial organizations. Partnering closely with commercial leadership and cross-functional stakeholders, this role ensures alignment, accountability, and execution of key priorities, including strategic planning, revenue growth initiatives, market expansion, product launches, portfolio integration activities, and performance management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leads the development and execution of commercial strategic initiatives and priorities for Ambu North America designed to achieve organizational goals

  • Key functional leader for organizing strategic planning and analytics across the commercial group, collaborating with marketing, sales, finance, operations for execution and KPI achievement

  • Key owner of strategic planning programs, sessions, and special projects including analysis, intelligence, timelines, milestones, governance structure, dependencies, and success metrics

  • Cross-functional leader for coordinating day-to-day cross-functional workstreams to ensure alignment and timely execution on strategic initiatives, including monthly and quarterly reporting

  • Strategic expansion program leader, such as end-to-end potential acquisition/integration activities from transaction close through operational stabilization

  • Facilitates associated Steering Committee meetings and executive project reviews with recommendations on risks and opportunities, immediate and escalated issues, and developed/proposed mitigation plans

  • Collaborates with commercial and business area Marketing leaders to ensure analytics and insights are informing strategic development and decision making, such as market trends, customer insights, and competitive landscape changes

  • Drives strategy alignment and process optimization across the organization, partnering with leadership in marketing, sales, operations, finance, and global teams to ensure understanding, adherence, and support of commercial strategy, key initiatives, programs, potential acquisitions, and expansions

  • Ongoing analysis, reporting, dashboard development of any go-to-market progress, annual commercial plan progress, key strategic initiative progress, and expansion & potential acquisition/integration progress

  • Facilitates cross-functional learning and process optimization sessions with North America stakeholders and Global functions for continuous improvement on the selection, implementation, and transformation associated with strategic initiatives, special projects, and potential acquisitions or expansions

  • Collaborates with Commercial Operations on strategy-related data, customer analytics, and sales enablement programs necessary to execute, manage, and monitor initiatives

  • Collaborates with Finance and support commercial leaders in strategy/initiative budget development and projections in line with company goals and guidance

  • Collaborates with People & Culture on strategic initiative needs, impacts, and considerations to ensure alignment of team resources and team structures

Required Skills And Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field (MBA preferred)
  • 5+ years of experience in commercial strategy, marketing strategy, or related roles (healthcare/MedTech preferred)
  • Exceptional communication, collaboration, presentation, and reporting skillset
  • Experience managing enterprise-wide initiatives involving multiple business functions
  • Previous transformation, acquisition & integration, PMO, strategy, consulting, or commercial operations experience preferred
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving skillet
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, cross-functional high-growth environment
  • PMP certification or equivalent project management certification preferred

Working Conditions

Onsite role based in Columbia, MD (hybrid 3 days a week)

Up to 25% travel, including internationally
