Job Description
The North America Strategy team works directly with the region’s President and other members of the North America leadership team to chart the region’s medium-term and long-term strategy, to tackle the toughest strategic questions facing Visa’s business in the U.S. and Canada. The Manager, North America Strategy will lead or support major workstreams across strategic projects, developing unique and creative solutions that strengthen Visa Inc.'s corporate strategy. They will structure projects and/or workstreams for the corporate strategy team, set deadlines, create roles and responsibilities, own readouts, and more. They will ensure strategic and financial soundness of recommendations and communicate them to senior management, other executives, functional, or regional staff in a clear, concise, and impactful way. They will participate in and occasionally lead regular strategy and payment focused trainings.
Qualifications
- Basic Qualifications: 5 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelors Degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD
- PREFERRED Qualifications: 6 or more years of work experience with a Bachelors Degree or 4 or more years of relevant experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or up to 3 years of relevant experience with a PhD
- Typically requires experience in management consulting, corporate strategy, investment banking or equivalent
- Experience in and/or significant exposure to the payments industry not required, but a plus
- Superior analytical and problem-solving skills, with demonstrated intellectual and analytical rigor, attention to detail and ability to structure and analyze sophisticated financial modeling
- Personal presence and ability to clearly communicate compelling messages to senior stakeholders and external business partners
Work Hours
Variates upon the needs of the department. Travel Requirements: 5-10% of the time. Mental/Physical Requirements: Will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.
