About the role

ABC Supply, the nation’s largest distributor of exterior building products, is seeking an experienced, motivated Commercial Roofing Specialist to join its team. This position will enhance the service we provide to our customers while taking our sales to the next level.

Responsibilities

• Utilizing resources, such as construction reports, to learn when commercial construction projects are coming to bid
• Interpreting and reading blueprints
• Completing estimating duties and facilitating takeoffs through Tapered Solutions
• Maintaining current pricing from the manufacturers
• Using expert application, installation and product knowledge to successfully meet goals
• Maintaining and conveying all relevant competitive sales knowledge directly to management
• Utilizing lead generation programs to identify potential projects by market
• Maintaining upcoming bid lists
• Cultivating customer relationships and industry contacts within the market

Qualifications

• Valid Driver’s License
• A minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in commercial roofing sales/ low-slope roofing
• Familiar with EPDM, TPO, PVC, Mod-Bit. Experience with Taper+ and StackCT estimating software preferred
• Experience with standing seam metal roofing preferred
• A solid understanding of commercial roofing products and procedures
• Basic computer skills as well as experience with estimating software is a plus
• Experience with takeoffs
• Excellent communication skills
• Detail-oriented and self-starting
