Skilled Commercial Roofer

About the role

At Lucas Industrial, we're opening the door for a full-time Experienced Commercial Roofing Specialist who wants stability, strong pay, and the chance to work alongside professional roofers who value precision as much as you do.

Responsibilities

• Installing, repairing, and restoring commercial flat and low-slope roofing systems
• Installing TPO roofing systems, including seams, penetrations, terminations, and details using hot-air welding
• Performing sheet metal installation related to roofing, including flashing, coping, trim, curbs, wall caps, and canopies
• Reading and following construction drawings, details, and specifications
• Applying adhesives, sealants, and caulking to ensure watertight assemblies
• Coordinating daily tasks with the foreman and crew
• Reporting material needs or jobsite issues to the foreman
• Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe job site
• Following company safety policies and OSHA guidelines

Requirements

• Commercial roofing experience (flat/low-slope)
• TPO roofing experience, including hot-air welding of seams and details
• Sheet metal experience
• Familiarity with flashing, edge metal, coping, and roof penetrations
• Comfortable working at heights and in varying weather conditions
• Ability to install shop-fabricated metal components (fabrication completed in our shop)
• Ability to pass internal quality and welding standards
• Ability to provide own personal cordless power tools, hand tools, and required safety gear (some PPE provided)
• Ability to work independently while following the foreman's direction
• Ability to reside or relocate to Murfreesboro, TN prior to start date
• Willingness to travel frequently for project-based work
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship

Preferred

• Experience with EPDM, PVC, or metal roofing systems
• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification
• Manufacturer or industry-recognized TPO roofing certification
