About the role

Mutual Inspection Bureau, Inc. (MIB) is seeking experienced Commercial Lines & Personal Lines Loss Control Consultants as independent contractors to perform insurance underwriting surveys on residential, commercial, and agricultural properties.

Responsibilities

• Perform on-site underwriting surveys on residential, commercial, and agricultural properties
• Assess conditions found during inspections
• Identify hazards that may lead to claims activity
• Gather data to assist insurance companies in establishing replacement cost values for buildings and dwellings

Requirements

• Self-motivated
• Basic knowledge of home construction materials and methods
• Previous inspection experience helpful
• Microsoft programs/Word proficiency required

Qualifications

• Capable of meeting and conversing with people in the community
• Reliable and organized

Skills

• Knowledge of home construction materials and methods
• Ability to assess property conditions
• Proficiency in Microsoft programs/Word
