About the role
Mutual Inspection Bureau, Inc. (MIB) is seeking experienced Commercial Lines & Personal Lines Loss Control Consultants as independent contractors to perform insurance underwriting surveys on residential, commercial, and agricultural properties.
Responsibilities
- Conduct on-site inspections of residential, commercial, and agricultural properties
- Assess property conditions and identify potential hazards
- Gather data to assist insurance companies in establishing replacement cost values
- Communicate effectively with clients and community members
- Work independently and manage work volume as part-time or full-time
Requirements
- Basic knowledge of home construction materials and methods
- Previous inspection experience helpful
- A PC, internet access, and digital camera required
Qualifications
- Self-motivated and able to meet and converse with people in the community
- Reliable and organized
Skills
- Microsoft programs/Word proficiency
