Essential Responsibilities
- Aid loan officers with the loan approval process by obtaining and analyzing financials, preparing loan summaries and packages for approval.
- Attend outside prospect and member meetings as necessary.
- Maintain the maturing loan report and assist loan officers and administrative officers in underwriting loans for renewal, gathering necessary financial information and completing LCA's for temporary extensions.
- Manage past dues by adding comments to Insight and inputting new loans and renewals into B2B.
- Prepare quarterly Problem Asset Reports for review and assist with managing credit monitoring items and Priority 1 exceptions.
- Learn about and promote TowneBank products and services, as well as affiliate companies, to identify cross-selling opportunities.
- Work on special projects to enhance loan portfolio management efficiency within the region.
- Collaborate with loan officers and administrative officers to ensure compliance with closing requirements and resolve exceptions.
- Build strong partnerships with business partners to support loan portfolio management.
Minimum Required Skills & Competencies
- Outstanding member service and communication skills.
- Understanding of TowneBank’s lending culture and philosophy.
- Knowledgeable in analyzing financial statements and underwriting commercial credit.
- Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision.
- Experience working effectively within various internal departments.
- Previous lending experience or relevant loan operations experience.
- Thorough knowledge of Bank policies and procedures.
- Proficiency in using Word and Excel.
Desired Skills & Competencies
- College degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting.
- Experience in B2C and B2B lending environments.
- At least 8 years of credit analysis/underwriting experience.
