Commercial Portfolio Manager III

Essential Responsibilities

• Aid loan officers with the loan approval process by obtaining and analyzing financials, preparing loan summaries and packages for approval.
• Attend outside prospect and member meetings as necessary.
• Maintain the maturing loan report and assist loan officers and administrative officers in underwriting loans for renewal, gathering necessary financial information, and completing LCA's for temporary extensions.
• Manage past dues for loan officers' portfolios, inputting new loans and renewals into B2B, and completing quarterly Problem Asset Reports for review and approval.
• Assist with managing credit monitoring items and Priority 1 exceptions.
• Learn about and promote TowneBank products and services, as well as affiliate companies, to identify cross-selling opportunities.
• Work on special projects to enhance loan portfolio management efficiency within the region.
• Collaborate with loan officers and administrative officers to ensure compliance with closing requirements and resolve exceptions as needed.
• Proactively build strong partnerships with business partners.

Minimum Required Skills & Competencies

• Excellent member service skills.
• Excellent communication skills and professional interaction with internal and external members.
• Satisfactory completion of Credit and Small Business rotation or equivalent financial analysis experience.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and collaborate effectively across departments.
• Previous lending experience or experience in loan operations.
• Knowledge of Bank policies and procedures.
• Computer skills (Word and Excel).

Desired Skills & Competencies

• College degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting.
• Experience in B2C and B2B lending.
• At least 8 years of credit analysis/underwriting experience.

Physical Requirements

• Express or exchange ideas through spoken and written communication.
• Occasionally lift up to 10 pounds and sit for extended periods.
• Close visual acuity for tasks like analyzing data, using a computer terminal, reading, and preparing documentation.
• Not significantly exposed to adverse environmental conditions.
