Job Summary
The Commercial Loan Servicer I is an entry-level role responsible for supporting the daily servicing of the Commercial Loan portfolio. This position ensures member service is consistently delivered at a high standard while performing routine loan servicing functions accurately and efficiently.
Essential Job Functions
- Perform CIF maintenance and borrower record updates to ensure accurate member data.
- Request cashier’s checks to support loan servicing activities.
- Process collateral releases through Wolter’s Kluwer, ensuring accurate tracking of loan collateral.
- Add and remove delinquent property tax flags and update records accordingly.
- Complete demographic change requests for Commercial loans in a timely and accurate manner.
- Process construction and non-construction draws, ensuring compliance with loan terms.
- Post force-placed insurance fees and coordinate with internal systems for accuracy.
- Generate payoff letters, post payoffs, and complete all required post-payoff steps.
- Review and complete assigned daily, weekly, and monthly reports as directed by leadership.
- Process commercial loan risk rating changes and maintain proper documentation.
- Cancel tax service contracts in Tax Q when loans are paid in full or released.
- Prepare verification of mortgage/debt requests in accordance with member needs.
- Respond to servicing requests received through Temenos.
- Collect and distribute department mail daily to ensure timely processing of items.
- Answer member and internal calls through Ring Central, providing professional and accurate service.
- Demonstrate strong communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills to effectively collaborate with team members and provide excellent service to members.
- Perform other duties as assigned in support of business needs.

Requirements
- Minimum Education and Experience: High school diploma or GED with a minimum of 6 months of experience in banking, finance, or a related field.
- Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with members and team members. Proven problem-solving and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment. Ability to work independently and as part of a team while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail. Proficiency with computer systems and the ability to learn and navigate core processing systems such as Jack Henry/Silverlake.
- Preferred Qualifications: Previous experience with JHA, Sageworks, LaserPro, and Wolters Kluwer. Demonstrated knowledge of basic loan operations, account maintenance, and servicing activities. Familiarity with construction lending and/or commercial loan servicing. College degree in business, finance, or a related field, or equivalent financial industry certification.
Hybrid Work Environment and Physical Demands
- Occasionally required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel or crouch.
- Frequently required to sit and use hands to operate a computer keyboard.
- Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
- Vision requirements include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
- Must be able to travel independently to department and branch locations.
