Responsibilities
- Assist attorneys in all stages of litigation
- Aid in preparing and filing (including e-filing) of legal documents in state and federal court
- Manage case files (create, organize, track, and maintain files; monitor calendars and meeting deadlines; document actions; input information into file database and case management software)
- Handle document management including review, proofreading, bate labeling, organization of documents, and compilation of information for discovery responses, pleadings, and motions
- Conduct factual research and investigations
- Lead subpoena and third-party records retrieval efforts
- Draft correspondence and memoranda for attorneys as requested
- Familiarity with e-discovery, including technical aspects of collecting, reviewing, and producing electronically stored information (state and federal court)
- Experience with Relativity, LiveNote, Case/Time Map, Summation, Adobe Acrobat, and Trial Director is a plus
- Prepare for and attend trials (organize evidence, prepare exhibits, schedule witnesses, ensure witnesses are ready when needed)
- Enter time in billing systems such as InTapp accurately and efficiently
Qualifications
- A minimum of 3 years of paralegal experience
- An associate’s degree and/or paralegal certificate required
- Experience handling Commercial litigation and trial experience preferred
- Ability to manage confidential information with discretion
- Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with team and clients
- Detail-oriented, able to work independently, and possess excellent organizational and written/oral communication skills
- Track record of juggling multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
About the Role
The firm offers a hybrid work schedule of 3 days in the office and 2 days remote for all paralegals.
Pay
The salary range for this role is $80,000 - $105,000 and represents the Firm’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be dependent upon a number of factors, including but not limited to, the candidate’s relevant experience, qualifications, and location.
