About the role
The Senior Account Executive assists in the production of new and renewal accounts, providing in-depth risk management support for high-profile customers. Key responsibilities include market development, service, retention, risk analysis, proposal preparation, and negotiation.
Responsibilities
- Market, service, develop, and retain assigned accounts
- Meet established account development and retention objectives
- Perform risk analysis surveys, obtain renewal information, complete applications, and deliver policies
- Coordinate efforts of loss control or other services and resolve service problems
- Seek the most cost-effective requested insurance coverages and provide additional resources for the client
- Negotiate with insurance companies for proper coverage options
- Absorb and present renewal proposals independently of the producer
- Handle a book of business with limited or no producer direction
- Conduct renewal meetings with customers
- Prepare/make presentations of insurance programs to key accounts/prospects
- Participate in seminars and training to maintain licenses and develop skills
- Provide leadership and mentoring for Account Executives, Senior Account Managers, and Account Managers
- Support the Department in meeting annual training goals
Requirements
- 7-9 years previous commercial lines/agency operations experience, focusing on large commercial lines and/or high-profile commercial lines customers
- 2-4 years of previous Account Executive experience
- Resident Insurance Agent/Producer License for operating state Property and Casualty (or the ability to quickly obtain)
- Bachelor's degree in business or other related discipline preferred
- CPCU, CIC, CRIS, CRM, ARM, or other related designations preferred

- Ability to perform approximately 80% sedentary work, exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, and negligible force frequently
