Responsibilities
- Build and maintain relationships with commercial clients to understand their unique insurance needs and recommend tailored coverage solutions.
- Develop and execute proactive strategies to generate new business opportunities and expand the agency's client base.
- Deliver exceptional customer service, acting as a trusted advisor to ensure that clients fully understand their policies, terms, and coverage options.
- Collaborate with underwriters and carriers to negotiate competitive terms and customized coverage for clients.
- Stay informed of industry trends, evolving regulations, and emerging risks to ensure clients remain informed and adequately protected.
- Conduct policy reviews and renewals, ensuring up-to-date coverage and identifying opportunities for additional products or services.
- Meet or exceed sales and performance goals through effective time management, prospecting, and account retention strategies.
- Represent the organization at industry events, networking functions, and community engagements to enhance visibility and build professional connections.
- Maintain accurate records in the CRM system, including client interactions, submissions, and policy details.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Holds an active P&C (Property and Casualty) insurance license.
- Proven sales or business development experience in commercial lines insurance or a related industry.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with diverse clientele.
- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to present tailored insurance solutions to meet client needs.
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently while also thriving in a collaborative team environment.
- Proficiency in using CRM software, Microsoft Office Suite, and other insurance-related tools and systems.
- Deep understanding of commercial insurance products, policies, and underwriting guidelines.
- Ability to analyze risk exposures and provide sound recommendations.
- Familiarity with local markets and industries is highly desirable.
