What You Will Do
- Prospecting, soliciting, quoting, and selling Commercial Lines insurance products.
- Counsels and markets to new and existing clients in a professional manner by networking and sourcing new clients.
- Maintains a thorough knowledge of the Company's available services, lines of business, and pricing structures.
- Offers additional services as appropriate, to grow targeted profitable revenue and contribute to Credit Union's goals and objectives.
- Drives the Credit Union’s vision, purpose and core values.
- Completes any other job related duties needed to help drive to our Vision, fulfill our Purpose, and abide by our Organization’s Values.
What We Require
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- A current Texas Property/Casualty License.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A minimum of three (3) years of commercial insurance sales experience preferred.
- Skilled in outside sales, prospecting, building referral sources, and professional networks.
- A basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
- The ability to adapt and work in a fast-paced environment.
- A thorough knowledge and understanding of federal, state, and NCUA regulations.
- An extensive knowledge of personal and commercial insurance products and usages.
- The ability to perform a large number of steps in complex systems with accuracy and speed.
- An ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree or equivalent education, five (5) years of sales experience in the commercial insurance market, and an industry designation desirable (CIC, ARM, CPCU).
- The ability to communicate verbally and in writing to explain complex issues and interpret complex information, and respond appropriately.
- The ability to generate new business sales, retain existing business, and close sales.
- The ability to read, write, and speak English and Spanish.
