Summary
The Commercial Lines Producer will work with retail insurance agents to solicit, underwrite, market, and bind coverage on the agent's behalf within the excess and surplus lines marketplace. The role involves conducting marketing and sales initiatives, qualifying and developing business opportunities, mentoring account managers, and attending educational activities.
Responsibilities
- Solicit, underwrite, market, and bind coverage on behalf of retail insurance agents within the excess and surplus lines marketplace.
- Conduct marketing and sales initiatives successfully in accordance with company strategies.
- Qualify and develop business opportunities with new and existing agents.
- Direct and mentor account managers, associate producers, and assistant account managers.
- Attend company-approved seminars and other educational activities to stay current on the latest developments, trends, and regulations in the marketplace.
Requirements
- Extensive coverage knowledge of all Commercial Lines disciplines.
- A thorough knowledge of business, sales, and marketing disciplines.
- Effective oral and written communications skills.
- Excellent telephone and customer service skills.
- Ability to work in a paperless, web-based environment.
- Valid Property and Casualty license.
- Five plus years directly related experience with successful performance.
- Regular travel to agency customers and company industry functions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree desirable.
Skills
- Proficient in using all communication mediums utilized by the Company.
