Commercial HVAC Sheet Metal Mechanic

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Measure, lay out, and cut sheet metal materials accurately.
• Fabricate ductwork and related HVAC components.
• Install ductwork ensuring proper fit, alignment, and performance.
• Repair existing systems as needed.
• Operate hand and power tools safely and effectively.
• Ensure installations meet applicable codes and quality standards.
• Follow safety procedures and maintain jobsite cleanliness.
• Collaborate with foremen and team members; mentor apprentices.
• Uphold craftsmanship, customer satisfaction, and a people-first approach.

Qualifications & Skills

• Proven experience in sheet metal work for ductwork/HVAC.
• Strong blueprint reading and layout skills.
• Proficiency with cutting tools and duct fabrication/installation practices.
• Knowledge of code-compliant installation requirements.
