Responsibilities

  • Represent banks and financial institutions in commercial lending transactions
  • Structure, negotiate, document, and close commercial loans and credit facilities
  • Draft and negotiate loan agreements, promissory notes, security agreements, guaranties, mortgages, and related financing documents
  • Manage transactions from initial term sheet and due diligence through documentation and closing
  • Handle secured lending, commercial real estate financing, asset based lending, and other middle market financing transactions
  • Review organizational documents, lien searches, title materials, surveys, and other transaction due diligence
  • Coordinate directly with lenders, borrowers, opposing counsel, title companies, and other transaction parties
  • Manage multiple active loan transactions with limited supervision

Requirements

  • 4 to 7 years of transactional commercial finance or banking experience
  • Strong front end commercial lending experience with the ability to step directly into and manage a loan transaction
  • Experience drafting and negotiating commercial loan and financing documents
  • Experience representing banks, financial institutions, or other commercial lenders preferred
  • Strong drafting, negotiation, organizational, and client communication skills
  • J.D. and active Maryland Bar membership or ability to become admitted
  • 1,800 annual billable hour requirement

Pay

$170,000 - $215,000 per year
