About the role

A sophisticated, collegial AmLaw 200 law firm seeks an experienced Banking & Commercial Finance Attorney with lender‑side experience. The role involves representing banks and funds in complex financing transactions, requires New York licensure, and is a contract engagement that is hybrid in the firm’s Midtown Manhattan office.

Responsibilities

• Represent banks and funds in sophisticated financing transactions.
• Provide legal counsel on complex financing deals.

Requirements

• 7+ years of attorney experience.
• Experience with sophisticated financing transactions in an AmLaw 200 firm or sophisticated boutique.
• Substantial lender‑side experience representing banks and funds.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent writing skills.
• Licensed to practice law in New York.
• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Outstanding references.

Pay

The annualized pay for this position ranges from $250,000 to $300,000 when calculated on a full‑time basis. Pay for contract engagements is based on multiple factors including work experience, qualifications, credentials, location, market supply/demand, and candidate preference (each candidate’s pay rate affects the client bill rate and can affect competitiveness for the position).
