About the role
Jack Laurie Group is seeking an experienced Commercial Carpenter specializing in Acoustical Ceiling Tile (ACT) systems to join their Fort Wayne team.
Responsibilities
- Install suspended acoustical ceiling systems (ACT)
- Lay out, hang, and level ceiling suspension systems
- Install main tees, cross tees, wall angle, and perimeter trim
- Install ceiling tile and specialty ceiling systems
- Read and interpret blueprints and construction drawings
- Measure, cut, and fit grid and ceiling materials accurately
- Work safely on ladders, scaffolding, and lifts
- Cookordinate with project managers and field leadership to complete projects on schedule
- Maintain high-quality workmanship while meeting production goals
Requirements
- Expert-level experience installing commercial ACT ceiling systems
- Prior experience laying out and leveling ceiling grid
- Strong knowledge of commercial carpentry practices
- Experience operating scissor lifts and aerial lifts preferred
- Reliable transportation
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work overhead throughout the day
- Dependable, safety-minded, and committed to quality craftsmanship
