Job Summary
The Mechanical Technician will perform the professional installation, repair and maintenance of commercial doors, frames, and hardware.
Essential Functions
- Maintain a safe, productive, and timely work environment for both self and team member(s).
- Deliver excellent customer service by having a professional and positive attitude in all interactions with customers.
- Cordination with SBS Operations Manager, sales team, and other departments as required to ensure the work is designed and completed properly in alignment with customer expectations.
- Ensure work instructions are clear and necessary tools, materials and equipment are loaded into company vehicle, or otherwise arranged, to ensure an efficient and productive customer visit, prior to leaving the SBS offices.
- Inspection of completed work to ensure no damages have occurred, installation functions properly, and all necessary customer training has been provided for a professional installation.
- Able to independently perform field inspections of existing conditions, make recommendations, and troubleshooting.
- Keep company vehicle and equipment properly serviced, clean, in safe working order, and properly stocked.
