About the role

The position is 100% in-office and located at a WesBanco location in Knoxville, TN, with consideration for the Knoxville LPO.

Responsibilities

  • Manage borrowing and depository relationships with commercial clients, focusing on Lending
  • Solicit new commercial clients through direct sales calls
  • Develop community and business relationships to facilitate sales referrals and maintain knowledge of local business conditions
  • Support the Bank’s CRA lending initiatives
  • Provide customer service, interpersonal skills, and clear communication
  • Originate and manage lending and deposit relationships with commercial customers
  • Maintain and effectively manage an individual commercial portfolio
  • Analyze financial statements and customer profiles to support customer needs
  • Work with other bank departments to manage the credit process
  • Train, oversee, and mentor administrative assistants
  • Work on multiple complex projects simultaneously
  • Collaborate with the Special Asset Unit for loan collections and credit workout
  • Participate in community and civic organizations
  • Cross-sell banking services to existing and prospective commercial customers
  • Assist with CRA lending initiatives within the corporate lending department
  • Support the bank’s sales culture
  • Originates, develops, and maintains relationships with commercial customers
  • Provide loan structures and ensure appropriate documentation
  • Adhere to bank policies and procedures
  • Generate new business opportunities through outside business development sales calls
  • Follow up on internal and external customer referrals
  • Manage the sales of assigned accounts

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree (B.S.) from four-year College or university
  • 3 years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience including management of Commercial Real Estate relationships
  • Proficiency in bank policies and procedures, adherence to laws, rules, and regulations
  • Completion of assigned compliance training
  • Willingness to promote bank products and services
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Leadership and business relationship development skills
  • Ability to work under pressure
