Combustion Sales Engineer
About the role
At Fives North American Combustion, Inc., you will be responsible for growing system sales with Customers, focusing on high margin hardware, assemblies and controls. You will sell the Customer on the value of our offering: combustion systems, products and services, aiming to maximize margin wherever possible. You will manage every aspect of the company’s relationships and dealings with Customers in your territory, and be responsible for the design and sale of thermal hardware solutions, process furnace revamps and aftermarket sales across a wide variety of industries.
Responsibilities
- Adhere to the Fives Code of Conduct, Fives Safety Standards and all applicable national safety standards at all times.
- Sell the Customer on the value of our offering: combustion systems, products and services, maximizing margin wherever possible.
- Manage every aspect of the company’s relationships and dealings with every Customer in their territory.
- Design and sell thermal hardware solutions, process furnace revamps and aftermarket sales across a wide variety of industries.
- Analyze and recommend ways to optimize Customers’ thermal processes with respect to efficiency, temperature uniformity, emissions and staffing.
- Become the Customers' Trusted Advisor.
- Apply appropriate principals of the Prime Process—Mastering the Complex Sale, speaking to the Customer's issues across all levels of the Cast of Characters.
- Report to Marketing on changes or trends in the field affecting company products and services.
- Provide technical service for equipment and/or technical training for client employees when required.
- Possess and continuously learn thermal process application expertise across our broad spectrum of markets and applications.
- Absolutely follow the Complex Sales Process to expand the cast of characters, accurately identify customer drivers, statement of need, cost of problem, project risks and competitive solutions to best leverage our differential advantages on the opportunity.
- Absolutely ensure the accuracy and utilization of EBM.
Requirements
- 3 to 5 years of experience in industrial capital equipment sales.
- Industrial thermal process work experience is a plus.
- Proficient in following sales processes a plus.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or Industrial Engineering.
