Position Summary

FIVES NORTH AMERICAN COMBUSTION, INC. is hiring a permanent, full-time Combustion Sales Engineer to join our team in Salt Lake City, UT. This position involves adhering to the Fives Code of Conduct, Fives Safety Standards, and all applicable national safety standards. The primary responsibilities include growing system sales with Customers, focusing on high-margin hardware, assemblies, and controls, selling the value of our offerings, managing relationships, designing and selling thermal hardware solutions, process furnace revamps, and aftermarket sales across various industries. The role also requires analyzing and recommending ways to optimize thermal processes, becoming a Trusted Advisor, and providing technical service and training.

Responsibilities

  • Adhere to Fives Code of Conduct, Fives Safety Standards, and national safety standards.
  • Grow system sales with Customers, emphasizing high-margin hardware, assemblies, and controls.
  • Sell the value of Fives’ offerings, including combustion systems, products, and services, maximizing margins.
  • Manage all aspects of company relationships with Customers in their territory.
  • Design and sell thermal hardware solutions, process furnace revamps, and aftermarket sales across various industries.
  • Analyze and recommend ways to optimize thermal processes for efficiency, temperature uniformity, emissions, and staffing.
  • Become a Trusted Advisor to Customers.
  • Exhibit excellence in the Complex Sales Process, applying principles of the Prime Process, and focusing on Profit Improvement, ROI, and Payback.
  • Speak to Customers at all levels of the Cast of Characters.
  • Report changes or trends in the field affecting company products and services to Marketing.
  • Provide technical service for equipment and/or technical training for client employees when required.
  • Possess and continuously learn thermal process application expertise across various markets and applications.
  • Absolutely follow the Complex Sales Process when appropriate, accurately identifying customer drivers, statement of need, cost of problem, project risks, and competitive solutions to leverage Fives’ differential advantages.
  • Achieve accuracy and utilization of EBM.

Requirements

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in industrial capital equipment sales.
  • Industrial thermal process work experience is a plus.
  • Proficiency in following sales processes is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or Industrial Engineering.
