Position Summary
FIVES NORTH AMERICAN COMBUSTION, INC. is hiring a permanent, full-time Combustion Sales Engineer to join our team in Seattle, WA. With over 100 years of contributions to industrial combustion, we design, manufacture, install, and service cutting-edge burners, industrial furnaces, and combustion systems across various industries. Our goal is to innovate and collaborate to address technological, environmental, social, and economic challenges.
About the Role
Your role will involve:
- Adhering to the Fives Code of Conduct and Fives Safety Standards.
- Growing system sales with Customers, focusing on high-margin hardware, assemblies, and controls.
- Selling the Customer on the value of our offerings, including combustion systems, products, and services, while maximizing margins.
- Managing all aspects of the company’s relationships with Customers in your territory.
- Designing and selling thermal hardware solutions, process furnace revamps, and aftermarket sales across diverse industries.
- Analyzing and recommending ways to optimize Customers’ thermal processes for efficiency, temperature uniformity, emissions, and staffing.
- Becoming the Customers' Trusted Advisor.
- Exhibiting excellence in the Complex Sales Process, applying appropriate principles of the Prime Process.
- Speaking, probing, and selling in terms of profit improvement, ROI, and payback.
- Speaking to the Customer's issues across all levels of the Cast of Characters.
- Reporting to Marketing on changes or trends in the field affecting company products and services.
- Providing technical service for equipment and/or technical training for client employees when required.
- Possessing and continuously learning thermal process application expertise across our broad spectrum of markets and applications.
- Absolutely following the Complex Sales Process when appropriate, to expand the cast of characters, accurately identify customer drivers, statement of need, cost of problem, project risks, and competitive solutions.
- Ensuring accuracy and utilization of EBM.

Requirements
- 3 to 5 years of experience in industrial capital equipment sales.
- Industrial thermal process work experience is a plus.
- Proficient in following sales processes a plus.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or Industrial Engineering.
