Combustion Sales Engineer
Position Summary
FIVES NORTH AMERICAN COMBUSTION, INC. is hiring a permanent, full-time Combustion Sales Engineer to join our team in Phoenix, AZ. With over 100 years of contributions to industrial combustion, we design and manufacture cutting-edge burners and industrial furnaces, serving industries such as aluminum, steel, forging, incineration, oil and gas, mineral, paper, glass, and food. Our goal is to innovate and collaborate to address technological, environmental, social, and economic challenges.
About the Role
Adhere to the Fives Code of Conduct, Fives Safety Standards, and all applicable national safety standards. Grow system sales with Customers, focusing on high-margin hardware, assemblies, and controls. Sell the value of our offerings, including combustion systems, products, and services, to maximize margins. Manage relationships and deal with Customers in your territory. Design and sell thermal hardware solutions, process furnace revamps, and aftermarket sales across various industries. Analyze and recommend ways to optimize thermal processes for efficiency, temperature uniformity, emissions, and staffing. Become a Trusted Advisor to Customers. Apply appropriate principles of the Prime Process to master the Complex Sale, speaking to Profit Improvement, ROI, and Payback. Provide technical service and training when required. Possess and continuously learn thermal process application expertise across diverse markets and applications. Ensure the Complex Sales Process is followed to expand the cast of characters, accurately identify customer drivers, statement of need, cost of problem, project risks, and competitive solutions.

Requirements
- 3 to 5 years of experience in industrial capital equipment sales.
- Industrial thermal process work experience is a plus.
- Proficient in following sales processes a plus.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or Industrial Engineering.
