Combination Building Inspector - Johnstown, CO

Responsibilities
- Perform field inspections during various stages of construction
- Read and examine plans and specifications when required
- Report violations and maintain files/records
- Perform other related duties as required
Requirements
- Extensive knowledge of local building codes and current construction procedures/technology
- Ability to interpret codes in the field and provide code-compliant solutions
- Ability to positively interact with staff, the general public, contractors, governmental entities, and other clientele
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong time management, organization, and attention to detail
- Demonstrated ability to exercise initiative and independent judgment
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Valid Driver’s License with a good driving record
Qualifications
- ICC Residential or Commercial Building Inspector Certification required
- ICC Inspector Certifications in additional trades preferred
- CO Electrician License preferred
- 3-5 years of experience in municipal code inspections preferred
Pay
Hourly Rate: $36–$40.75
