CoM Faculty, Technology Shine in Long-distance Recording Collaboration

About the role

Assistant Professor of Harp and Entrepreneurship Noël Wan and Music Recording faculty Wellington Gordon recently participated in a high-profile recording collaboration on the debut orchestral album from acclaimed composer Sarah Kirkland Snider.

Responsibilities

• Featured prominently as the harp soloist on the album, particularly on the second track, “Drink the Wild Ayre.”
• Utilized the FSU College of Music’s premier recording facilities to collaborate remotely with the Metropolis Ensemble.
• Worked alongside GRAMMY-winning engineer Mike Tierney in New York using real-time streaming software for remote collaboration.
• Gained hands-on experience assisting with the tracking process for FSU student Tyler Berman.
