Position Summary Information
- Job Description Summary: Potentially teach a variety of courses including: Audio Recording and Editing, Live Sound, MIDI and Synthesis, Audio for Video, and other department classes as assigned. Classes may be held during the day, evening, or a combination of both.
- Minimum Qualifications: Associates degree in a Recording Arts related field. Minimum of three (3) years full-time audio industry experience (studio, live sound, music business).
- Required Job Knowledge, Skills, Abilities: Knowledge of Studio Sound Recording (recording and mixing), Live Sound production, Audio for Video techniques, Audio Editing and sound design. Working knowledge of multiple DAWs needed for some courses. Demonstrated ability with current digital software applications and the Macintosh Operating System. Ability to respond appropriately to the needs of a diverse population. Technical expertise in studio design, electronics, and signal routing including the ability to read schematics. Strong ability and knowledge of audio fundamentals (acoustic and analog). Ability to teach studio electronic repair if needed. Command of audio electronic equipment hardware. Advanced communication (verbal, written and interpersonal) and organizational skills. Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Preferred Qualifications: Demonstrated experience in current Logic Pro, Reaper, Pro Tools.

Job Duties
- Periodic meetings with supervisors, division, or College, relative to teaching duties and training and develop.
- Be available to students for coaching.
- Maintains and submits student attendance records, grades and other required documentation by specified deadlines.
- Prepares and delivers learning activities in order to achieve course outcomes.
- Prepares course materials such as syllabi, homework assignments and handouts.
- Evaluates and grades students’ class work, laboratory work, assignments, papers, and examinations.
- Deliver course content to enrolled students.
