How Role Will Make an Impact
- Determines expertise in Movement and Maneuver (M2)
- Serves as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Mission command training
- Maintains up-to-date with doctrinal publications from TRADOC and provides the latest training Operational Planning Orders (OPORDs) and scenarios to Training Unit Commanders (TUCs)
- Maintains flexibility in team composition to offer modular training support tailored to low-density branches like chemical, sustainment, aviation, engineers, fires, etc.
- Collaborates with TUC to adjust OPORDs or scenarios to meet unit-specific needs and ensure realistic training events
Requirements
- Clearance: Active Secret Clearance required
- Previous senior Army leadership experience with a training management background, preferably including Command and Control Training Specialist (CTC) experience
- Combat Arms, Combat Support, or Combat Service Support Officer with primary staff experience at Battalion or higher rank
- Preferred recent experience as a Battalion or higher commander (or similar role)
- Specialized functional areas could include 04/MAJ, E8/MSG, CW2/Warrant Officer with battalion-level experience
- At least 6 years’ combined staff experience within the specific Warfighting Function (or equivalent), or 8 years’ specialized Military Combat Training Specialist Program (MCTSP) experience
- Recent experience working within the ARNG training support system or a similar system
- At least 2 years’ experience working with Warfighting Functional Area Army MCIS
