Responsibilities

  • Maintain positive Member experiences throughout all aspects of the Collection process
  • Work to resolve delinquency and minimize losses to the Credit Union
  • Be knowledgeable of any relief options that may be available to our members and be empathetic to each situation

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Two years experience working in a financial or call center environment
  • Must be bondable
  • Strong interviewing, listening, written, and verbal communication skills with the ability to negotiate repayment solutions while maintaining Member goodwill and accountability
  • Ability to analyze complex financial information, credit reports, account documentation, and delinquency status to determine appropriate resolution actions
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, maintain accurate documentation, and perform effectively in a high-volume, metrics-driven environment
  • Comfortable using personal computers, Microsoft Office products, and digital technologies to efficiently document interactions and navigate multiple software platforms
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while thriving in a collaborative team environment, managing frequent interruptions and changing priorities with attention to detail

Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree or the equivalent in experience in Finance, Business Administration, or Economics
  • Experience working with debt collection, default management, loss mitigation, charge-off recovery, repossession of real estate or equivalent
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, metrics-driven environment
  • Spanish language proficiency is preferred

  • Knowledge of financial services and collections processes

  • Ability to handle stressful situations professionally
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and digital technologies

Pay

$22.55 – $25.25 per hour (candidates with significant related experience may be higher)

Schedule

Full-Time, working approximately 40 hours per week. Hours and shifts vary between 8:20am – 6:00pm Monday through Friday, and a rotation of weekend hours of 8:20am – 12:30pm once every 10 weeks or so.

Training

New Royal team members must attend Foundation Training at our Corporate Center in Eau Claire, WI from 9:00am - 4:30pm on Monday and Tuesday during their first week of employment. Out of town learners will be reimbursed costs related to travel and lodging. Foundation Training covers fundamental information about Royal’s culture and core values which sets the stage for team members to be successful within our organization.
