Collections Representative

Pay: $17.71+ per hour. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, certifications, market and organizational factors.

Successful candidates may be eligible to receive annual performance bonus compensation.

Schedule

Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM (PST, MST, CST)

Responsibilities

• Manage Third-Party Accounts Receivable by analyzing denied and un-responded claims
• Make outbound calls to insurance carriers to appeal and check claims status
• Coordinate with insurance carriers to reconcile/resolve any issues
• Familiar with explanation of benefits
• Maintain Compliance and HIPAA standards
• Meet or exceed daily production standards by maintaining work list according to metrics
• Meet or exceed daily quality standards
• Perform other duties and functions as assigned
• Process insurance/patient refunds and adjustments
• Evaluate and respond to all email requests for any AR issues to resolve in a timely manner

Requirements

• High School Diploma / GED
• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Ability to create and modify spreadsheets within Microsoft Excel
• Ability to work between the hours: Monday – Friday 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM CST

Preferred Qualifications

• Medical Billing experience
• Familiar with explanation of benefits and appeals

Telecommuting Requirements

• Required to have a dedicated work area established that is separated from other living areas and provides information privacy
• Ability to navigate the internet for researching purposes
