Collections Representative

About the role

This role involves assisting members, staff, and third parties with collecting past due loans for Hughes Federal Credit Union. Duties include contacting past due members, utilizing software and electronic systems, documenting actions, and evaluating solutions to help members resolve financial hardships.

Responsibilities

• Communicate directly with past due members and discuss resolution options
• Take appropriate action to resolve delinquency
• Document and maintain all collection efforts within the electronic collection software platform
• Manage assigned collection queue to maximize productivity and meet or exceed goals
• Review account history and determine appropriate next steps to resolve past due status

Qualifications

• Minimum of six months of similar or related experience
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal communication skills
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Skills

• Basic understanding of bankruptcies, repossessions, legal actions, foreclosures, loan extension/modifications, and collateral protection

Pay

$21.00 - $27.00 per hour depending on experience
