About the Role
The Junior Collection Specialist is part of Turf Tank's Finance department and will report to the Senior Junior Collection Specialist, working closely with the Finance team in La Vista, NE. The main function is to drive debt and cash collection, profoundly impacting Turf Tank’s financials and assisting with an efficient sales-to-cash process. Success in this role will be measured by metrics related to monthly collection goals and aged debt.
Responsibilities
- Monitor accounts to identify outstanding debts
- Investigate historical data
- Directly contact customers to collect via email and phone calls
- Adopt clear and timely collection practices to promote prompt payments
- Record accurate and detailed account notes promptly
- Report on collection activity
- Assist with other finance-related tasks
Requirements
- High attention to detail
- Strong Excel skills
- The capability to seamlessly navigate and work across multiple systems simultaneously
- 1-2 years of business-to-business collection experience
- Overnight travel required up to 5% of the time
- Day travel required up to 5% of the time
- Work in our La Vista, NE office 5 days per week
- General work hours are 8am - 5pm, Monday – Friday
- A Strengths Finder and Excel assessment will be given during the interview process
- Must pass a background screen before start date
- Physical requirements of standard office environments
